HOLD FAST

Tenderly yet unrelentingly I rode
Through the thunderstorms and all
Even so, the pedal never broke
Because I persevered and stood tall
The feeling of being alone.
Being trapped in a distressing perplexity
Transcends dreams of meeting my clone;
He who realizes my pain and adversity –
The better-half of me
Consequently paralyzing my deepest
thoughts and emotions.
But as my innermost cries are heard
My eyes light up and my spirit comes alive
Tranquility, bliss and hope returns
To my sorrowful searching-soul and heart.
Apparently nothing lasts forever
And so I figured that –
Peace prevails after every stormy weather
And the sky becomes a golden crown
To the one who endures and hold his ground.
